Wakefield Inn
The Wakefield Inn & Restaurant, formerly known as the Spiral Staircase Inn and the Elmwood Inn, dates back to 1804. The Inn features five bed and breakfast rooms, each with a private bath. Enjoy fine dining at the on-site restaurant run by Chef Christina Nicastro.
The Inn has many unique features, the most spectacular of which is the “flying” spiral staircase which gracefully spirals up to the third floor with no center pole support. On the first floor there is a 3-sided fireplace that includes a beehive oven. The Inn also has a wrap around front porch, which is a favorite place to sit and relax in the cool, crisp mountain air. Savor your first cup of coffee and watch the sun rise.
