Guiding Light Fishing is strategically located in Wolfeboro, NH and typically launches from Roberts Cove Basin at 28 Basin Road in Alton, providing easy access to places such as Alton Bay, Wolfeboro Bay, Winter Harbor, Rattlesnake Island, and the southeastern areas of Lake Winnipesaukee. For Squam Lake trips we use the public launch and pick up guests at the Squam Lakes Boat Livery.
We can tailor the experience to your interest and skill level. Our most popular trips are open water fishing for smallmouth bass on Lake Winnipesaukee. Other trips, such as panfish for kids or ice fishing, are available in season.

August 18th, 2025 I hired Chris Moreno, Guiding Light Charters to take my grandchildren, daughter and I on a fishing trip. Chris was a perfect gentleman and made sure we were safe and that we would have a family outing to remember. The lake became very turbulent and the waves large and choppy. Chris navigated with precision and made sure we returned safe and sound. I would not hesitate to hire Chris again when I return to Lake Winnipesaukee.
I booked an evening trip for my son, grandson and myself for bass and pan fish. It was a first for my 12-year-old Grandson and the questions for Captain Chris were nonstop and all got answered as he took fish after fish from the hook with many getting photographed by Capt. Chris for my grandson to remember and share. We had the clicker going the entire 4 hours boating 106 fish. This charter Captain does everything the right way including, putting his clients first. Highly recommended.
It had been a long time since I had been fishing. I grew up fishing with my family, but hadn’t been since my father passed. So over twenty years later, I had an opportunity to fish that I couldn’t say no too. I was pretty nervous. Would I still remember how to do it? Would I make a fool of myself? Would I be treated differently because I was a beginner again and a woman? Captain Chris was amazing! He immediately put me at ease, never judging and always willing to help. He is a great teacher, very kind, and very patient. If you’re new to fishing, a “little” rusty, or even a kid, I would highly recommend Captain Chris. As a woman and a mom, I would totally feel comfortable fishing with him again and bringing the kids. Thanks, Captain Chris!
